OmniVision Technologies is touting some of its latest in endoscopic imaging solutions, including a high definition medical image sensor for endoscopic catheters, an image signal processor, a medical CMOS camera platform for disposable in-office endoscopy and a commercial endoscopic surgery tool prototype with an integrated camera. The imaging solutions are on display at this year's MD&M East show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, June 12–14.
OmniVision added its OH01A high definition medical image sensor to its product offerings. It uses the PureCel-S stacked-die architecture to give it its compact size, high resolution and cost effectiveness for the next generation of disposable and reusable endoscopes and catheters. The company says it is ideal for many diagnostic endoscope procedures like airway-management and urology applications.
Some of its features include:
OmniVision also recently launched its OV2741 CMOS image sensor. The sensor adds to the company's high definition medical image sensor family and provides 1080p full HD resolution and high image quality in a compact chip-scale package. The OV2741 is ideal for many endoscopic devices used in diagnostic and surgical procedures in airway-management and gastro-intestinal applications.
Some of its features include:
OmniVision also recently launched its OVMed image signal processor that is designed for medical, veterinarian and industrial endoscopes. It is the company's newest mixed-signal image signal processor and offers image processing and high image quality.
Some of its features include:
OmniVision in collaboration with BioVision recently launched a turnkey medical CMOS camera designed for disposable, in-office endoscopy. The MicroCam Touch is ideal for OBGYN, ear-nose-throat, arthroscopy and urology applications.
Some of its features include:
OmniVision and Myriad Fiber announced that they have launched a commercial prototype for an endoscopic surgery tool with a built-in camera. The design retrofits off-the-shelf endoscopic forceps that have OmniVision's ultra-compact OVM6948 CameraCubeChip camera module.
The prototype is ideal for surgeons who are performing endoscopic procedures in ENT, urology and women's health. It is also ideal to be used in other surgical tools such as scissors, suction device, pliers and clippers.
